Diocese of Youngstown Safe Environment Policy

At Saint John School, we prioritize the safety of our students. Our school personnel are required to complete the Diocese of Youngstown Virtus training (child abuse awareness training). In addition, all employees and volunteers who have contact with students undergo thorough screening, including background checks through the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation & Identification (BCI&I). All students in grades K–12 participate in the Virtus Empowering God’s Children curriculum, sponsored by the Diocese of Youngstown. This program is designed to promote student safety and awareness. Sample materials and videos used within the lessons are provided below:
